“Happy Birthday” was written and produced by #steviewonder 1981 single written, produced, and performed by Stevie Wonder for the #motownlabel. Wonder, as part of a campaign to have the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. declared a national holiday. Stevie Wonder used the song to popularize the campaign. On November 2, 1983, President Ronald Reagan approved and declared #martinlutherkingjr ‘s birthday a national holiday.
Although this song failed to make the Bill Boards, it helped bring great awareness, change and well deserved recognition to a great man and a worthy struggle.
All the more reason to love Stevie! 🎶Isnt he Wonderful?!!🎶…🙈I know, I know…couldnt help it.
