Heres my experience with diversity. . I spent my first 3 years in school on the outskirts of Detroit there was only a couple of us white girls in class. . I then got transplanted to Northern Michigan where the only 2 black kids in my high school were adopted . . Then I found myself in the Army at the age of 19. I never saw people in color again. The Army is a melting pot of races and diversity. Im so very glad I got the opportunity to broaden my horizons and squash whatever ignorance I had learned in white suburbia. . As soldiers we train the same we fight the same we bleed the same and we cry the same. . Heres to hoping the rest of America catches up some day. . Thank you Mr. King for what you have done for this countries fighting forces.
