Every word and especially the speech of Martin Luther King I Have a Dream clearly expressed the hope and immediate need for change. At the beginning of the speech he clearly states that he is happy with the marchers and also demonstrated the historical significance of March by saying that “the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.”

He continuously discussed poverty faced by black and seeks BANK OF JUSTICE hopefully. King mentioned that African Americans are facing “sweltering summer” discontented and equality and freedom is “invigorating autumn” for them. However, grieving voices, bitterness, hatred, was increasing day by day which surely paved way for Civil Rights movement. Only a legal change with resolve the violence and bring a peaceful change.

Martin used references to mention the struggles and injustice happened to African Americans. While King was delivering his speech, it was the largest gathering ever recorded in the history.  Large media coverage and TV cameras were capturing King in a national audience and he started his speech slowly by giving recognizable references to the US constitution and Bible. The question was raised that why King delivered his speech at Lincoln Memorial? So the reason is that Emancipation Proclamation was signed up by Abraham Lincoln on 22nd September 1862 which urges privileges and equality to every citizen of the state. So he delivered his speech at the same place to motivate the followers to protest and boycott discrimination and seek full privileges in the USA.
